Awards

	The Lemonade War received a Massachusetts Book Honor Award and won the Nutmeg Award and the North Carolina Children's Book Award. It has been nominated for Children's Choice awards in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nebraska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, Iowa, Indiana, Massachusetts, Washington, and Minnesota.		The Boy Who Drew Birds received the John Burroughs Nature Book Award, the Sigurd Olson Nature Writing Award, and was listed as an Outstanding Science Trade book by NSTA and one of New York Public Library's Best Books. It was also a Junior Library Guild Selection.
	The Bell Bandit is a Junior Library Guild Selection.		Lost is a Junior Library Guild Selection and was nominated for a 2009 Cybils Award. The book is on the 2010 Best Books for Young Adults list (ALA), received a Sydney Taylor Honor Award, was named a finalist for the Jewish National Book Award, and received the Westchester Fiction Award.
	Tricking the Tallyman is a Junior Library Guild Selection and has been included on School Library Journal's list of Best Books of the Year for 2009. It has been nominated for the Rhode Island Children's Book Award for 2011.		Where the Ground Meets the Sky was listed as a Notable Social Studies Trade Book (NCSS), an IRA/CBC Children's Choice, a New York Public Library's Books for the Teen Age, a Bank Street College of Education Best Children's Books, and a Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) Choice.
	The House Takes a Vacation was named a Booksense Children's Pick.
